Job Description Robert Half International seeks a Public Relations Specialist to provide support for its OfficeTeam and Robert Half Legal staffing divisions. This individual needs to have a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of AP style. Duties include writing and editing copy for a variety of publications. The successful candidate will have the skills to ensure consistently typo-free, grammatically correct, high-quality materials. In addition to providing quality content, this individual will work on media relations, drafting and editing press releases as needed; posting releases on news wires and websites; and preparing media materials. The successful candidate will pitch story ideas and work with the Public Relations Manager to respond to media inquiries. Additionally, the PR Specialist will research media contacts and update national media lists; identify media opportunities and recommend article ideas; and prepare quarterly clip reports. This position also includes publishing useful, timely information on corporate social media feeds, monitoring social media for company mentions and alerting the PR manager to any postings requiring action. Some limited travel to RHI?s office in San Ramon, California is required. ? Bachelor?s degree - Public Relations, Communications, English or Journalism degree preferred ? 3+ years experience in Public Relations, preferably with some experience in a corporate setting ? PRSA designation a plus ? Strong Microsoft Office skills. Experience using CisionPoint, Tweetdeck, Hootsuite and other social monitoring software a plus. Knowledge of social media, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn ?
